Into It. Over It. / Hilary J. Corts // Life Is Suffering

As Kevin Duquette puts it, “The tirelessly touring, outgoing, short-shorts sporting, beard-wielding acoustic guy that everyone loves to love” AKA Evan Weiss, AKA Into It. Over It, took to the road with a full backing band for the first time in October 2012 in a Greenvan

On June 25, 2013, Topshelf Records will be releasing a live 7” record to commemorate the tour accompanied by a 200-page, full-color hard-cover book with photos by the incredibly talented Hilary Corts. We are beyond excited for this book to come out and you should be too!

In the meantime, here’s a short video we put together of footage from the tour. Thanks to Evan, Kevin, Topshelf Records and Hilary for being awesome.

Team Greenvans took a little trip to Chicago this weekend to hang with our buddy Chris from GHS Strings. We discussed some important business matters for 2013, but more importantly: we saw a rad tiger at the Lincoln Park Zoo, hit up Lillie’s Q and ate some of the Best BBQ we’ve ever had, played a little Super Mario Bros, ate at Lucky’s Sandwich Co. of Man vs Food fame, and watched the Pats slaughter the Colts at the Tripoli Tap (an all-boston sports bar downtown). Excellent weekend all around. Thanks Chris. We love you and your love for good food.

“It’s not WHAT we do it’s WHY we do it.”

This video is great. If you have an extra 20 minutes then it’s worth watching. Simon Sinek presents a great case about how important it is to understand why we do what we do, and how that translates into being better at what we do.

I’d like to think that we’ve worked hard to get Greenvans to a place where we absolutely understand why we do what we do: Anybody can go out and rent vans to bands, but we genuinely love music and we love that we are doing something that helps this community of musicians get out on the road and bring their music to their fans. We love getting out of bed every morning and thinking “how can we be better at what we do today?” There aren’t really any boring days because of that. We’ve been lucky enough to surround ourselves with a lot of bands and other businesses that think the same way — and that makes what we do so worth it to us.
